Hi,
i went to test drive a polo 1.4 se auto 26000 miles 53 plate today for 6995. on shutting the door the car rocks. is this normal? Also if you bump into it rocks.
Thanks

If the door is slammed hard, then yeah it might rock. Get a Yaris, better car.
|
I agree with sprice - on both counts.
A little rocking will be normal but it should settle immediately after one bounce/rock.
|
|
does it start singing' Summer of 69' ? would you prefer classical?
|
Thats a lot of money for a little box.
Spend less on a used Yaris.
|
I drove both. I bought a Yaris. Far better to drive/more economical and cheaper to run.

Polos rock because they have a hole in the middle.
Seriously, £7,000 is at least £1,000 too much for a 3-year-old Polo, especially if it rocks, rolls or twists.
I'd agree with the Yaris suggestion - tho' if you need an automatic they may be hard to find as most Yarises, or Yares, are manual. Personally for £7,000 I'd go for a used 1.3 Yaris rather than a new 1.0, as there's quite a difference in performance.

A 1.4 diesel Yaris is faster than a 1.3 and gives >60mpg...

I don't like Polos either. Nasty reluctant little beast it used to be. Don't like Fiestas either.
