Crossover cars

Crossover cars - Ian Cook
Just browsing through the March issue of Diesel Car and happened on a report on the Detroit motor show. It seems that the next thing to hit us will be the "Crossover" car.

What on earth is that? The photos (mostly concepts) seem to show them as a stunted cross between a 4x4, SUV, and MPV.

Any ideas? Perhaps HJ would have more info, he keeps his ear to the ground.

Nearly a replacement for the GLF series MV/Brat pick up and about time do they do a single cab version?

The Chevrolet Avalange is good example 4x4 pick up and then you can move the rear passenger paneland make the loading bay much longer.Look on www.chevrolet.com

I have sold a few Mitsubishi RVR SpaceRunner SportGear 4x4,sort of a cross between mini MPV and off road 4x4 with side sliding door,bull bars and spare wheel on the back door.Quite strange but good fun.
