Supermarket Diesel - Marcus Fox
Following the Sluggish Mondeo and the debate over different types of petrol, do the same differenced exist for Diesel ? there seems to be a proliferation of Low Sulphur diesel, city diesel, Pura diesel, and someone in germany buys his fuel in the Cooking oil section ......

Andrew Bairsto, actually. From Aldi. Wonderful places. I was in one in Holland last weekend and we walked out with stuff for a third of the price you would pay in the cheapest supermarket in the UK. But at UK pumps I have had the best results from Shell Pura diesel. And I'm no friend of Shell.

when you say best results, what do you mean?
I tend to use Esso, Jet or Shell diesel in a GT TDI Golf but do not notice any difference in smoke or mpg
