I've got a good idea what it may be, Audi A4 1.9 turbo diesel 2001, engine code AJM. Air filter and fuel filter changed, Catalytic converter changed, but still lack of power on acceleration. Can any one give me any idea what they think it might be?

The MAF meter can cause problems on VAG diesels,disconnect the wiring and take the car for a quick spin round the block if it feels better i would change the MAF

nice one mate,i will try a new air flow meter and let you know. i have heard you can get them cheeper from a volkswagen dealer.

As a 2001MY Mk 4 Golf owner with AJM engine, I'm intrigued as to why you changed the cat, and how much was it if you dont mind me asking?

I changed the cat because a test showed it was blocked and stopping the exhaust gasses escaping. it did improve acceleration but a new maf sensor did the trick i had it wheel spinning in second gear. there were no fault code.
