Hello ,i've managed to get the offside driveshaft off the car to change cv joint gaiter,i've also got the joint off the driveshaft to get the gaiter on,problem is getting it back together,the 3 pronged spring clip looks like it should click back into place ,i've got the joint vertical in a vice and trying to line up spring then push driveshaft in, Whats the propper/effective way of doing this, Thanks in advance.Bert

For the difference in price and the hassle involved it's often a damn site easier just to whack a new shaft on instead of just doing the joint.
