One of the instrument bulbs has blown on my 2001 406.
Before I spend (and possiby waste!) lots of time figuring out how to rempve the display assembly (the speedo / tacho / fuel level etc.) to get at them, anytone out there know the procedure?

Remove the screws in the top "arch" of the instrument pod surround.There may be screws at bottom part above steering column shroud.Now for the tricky bit;you will need a broad blade tool (trim tool) to prise away the plastic fascia complete with the air vents .(centre & right).If the panel has not been out before,then they are usually a tight fit.If you are lucky it will come out in 1 piece if not,the air vents will self destruct ,so get ready with the glue gun!Once this panel is removed ,the instrument pod is secured with screws to the dash & is easily removed for access to the bulbs.Once out, I would suggest change all the illumination bulbs ;I think there are at least 8 .
