renault espace instrument panel problem - bzr70
Hi , i wonder if you could help me ? On my way home from work today the radio and the digital read out for the speedo and fuel guage etc stopped working on the instrument panel .checked the fuse and this is ok.
The car is a 1997 espace diesel.
Have you come across this problem

Is the digital LCD display still visible close up? could be the backlight illumination has failed.

If it is bulbs make absolutely sure that you replace with the correct wattage bulbs. As with everything else on these wretched vehicles they are slightly different, I needed to change the bulbs on mine and (after finding all the hidden fixings) found I didnt have quite the right ones, they were slightly higher wattage. The dash insert threw a wobbler coming up with all sorts of spurious messages in the panic section of the dash. Glad to get rid of the heap, never will a french car reside on my drive again!
