Hi,
Can anyone recommend a Dagenham Motors around the Heathrow area?
I have heard good things about Byfleet Service Centre, anyone had any experience with them?
It is a fairly straightforward job, cam belt, aux belt & what looks to me (i am not a mechanic!) like a leaking rocker cover gasket (looks like oil!) from next to the exhaust manifold and around the head.
Any recommended Dagenham Motors dealers would be a great help.

The Oyster Lane, Byfleet service centre (used to be Tony Brooks) always used to be very helpful though I have not been there for four years or so. Otherwise I never heard bad reports about what was Woking Ford, now also Dagenham Motors IIRC, or the one at Cobham.

Not heard anything too awful about the Byfleet (ex tony brooks) Dagenham motors. They were a bit suspect from time to time when they were a Fiat dealer.
The parts guy used to work at the Monument Hill Ford dealers ( weybridge) and was excelent and helpful

That was a long, long time ago.

As was that, Moores of Weybridge, they had a slogan something like "we try a little bit Moores", I remember going in there with my dad when he had a Mk Escort 1300GT.

No but there are other sources of Ford work done in the area.
With the demise of the Ford dealers at Station Garage, Shepperton. Two of the top workshop guys have set up as independants nearby.
There is also Mercury Motors at Strawberry Hill.
They also have an onsite Ford spares dept that is brilliant.
I have used the spares dept for decades.
Co has been there probably 50 years and specialise in Fords
They sorted our Focus out last week.
P.S. I live in the area and go to Chichester for main dealer servicing etc. The savings are impressive.

The Byfleet branch used to be very good. I haven't been there for 5 years though.
