ford galaxy auto gear box cable snappin - th14afc

Hi there, i have a ford galaxy 2.0 glx auto with a problem with the gear selector cable which means it is constantly in and out of the garage .
the cable keeps snapping therefore leaving me unable to start the vehicle . i keep taking it back into the garage where they fit another one and a few weeks later the same happens , it is in the garage now . the time before the garage changed my stabalising bar thinking that was the problem , that the engine was moving (pulling ) the cable . any ideas . thanks.
