Would a warranty company (any but because I've heard of Warranty Direct we'll say them) cover say....the dash pod on an Audi TT if it were to fail?

Other than the manufacturers new car warranty i would not expect any aftermarket warranty company would cover it.

A warranty would detail exactly what is and what is not covered - usually what you feel should be covered isn't...:-(
Unless they were thrown in as part of a deal I've always refused one; just another little perk for a dealership.
