Rover 400 starting problem - lady driver
Oh Help!

My S reg rover has developed a nasty juddery rattling reluctance to start. I looked under bonnet this morning to find the water level a bit low NOT DRY (please say it's not a gasket) ....of course my garage only doing MOTs today. I am waiting for rescue service, but any ideas what this could be? Would be very grateful for advice. Seemed to run fine once started.

Did it eventually start and then after a few seconds run reasonably or did it not start at all. Regards Peter

Hi Peter,
thanks for your interest, thankfully my rescue service found the starter motor connection had come loose, it seems fine now, but I will be keeing a close eye on the water level which looked a bit low this morning, and getting it to the garage to check for any leaks as soon as poss. I was incredibly relieved as I could do without expensive problems( I guess that goes for us all) Happy New Year!
