hi, ive got what looks like oil in my rad top up bottle,cleaned it out used the car for a week and its back, im not loseing oil from engine and the car runs fine with no lose of power any idea where its coming from, thax

Primary suspect has to be oil leaking into waterway via head gasket. If engine is fitted with an oil to water oil cooler this may be the problem (a la VW). Other suspect may be a cracked head.

Hi,
Andrew is spot on. This is the first signs of head gasket failure - most likely oil is seeping from an oil gallery and tracking under the gasket. It's in its early stages so its worth getting done before it gets worse and causes damage to your cooling system.
