what to buy now ? HELP ? - welshy
Im torn between 2 cars at the moment ,one is a new style avensis 1.8 T3s which is a 2003 year and 24,000 miles . Or a audi a6 saloon 2001 year 1.9 tdi with 50,000 miles on. The car will be used as a taxi around town mainly so any advice guys ?please ?

If it's being used for taxi'ing i would of thought the diesel audi would make much more sense.

The Toyota is more reliable than the Audi anyway.

What's the relative price of the two cars? Also, what is likely to be the annual mileage? Finally, does your local authority have any limits on the age at which cars can be given their first taxi plate, or do these cars already have the plates with them?

Personally I'd go for the Avensis as a cab, but price the premium for diesel over petrol in view of the likely mileage.

Sorry - I glossed over the reply from Blue and assumed he'd have said the Toyota which would have made my reply fit in a lot better.
