I have a 3 dr 97 pug 306 diesel i was wondering how easy it would be to swap the engine for a turbo one to give it a little more get up and go.

Any infomation would be very usefull

The immediate problems that spring to mind are that you may need to upgrade the gearbox and brakes. Also you will need to notify your insurance.

Is it worth the hassle? Why not trade it in for a turbo?

I personally agree with your first reply and would say sell it and buy a turbo D 306. You could get yourself a decent 306 TD for around the same age as your existing 306 for well under £2k if you do a bit of shopping around. Find a decent one (with FSH)at a dealer and he/she may well take your existing car in part ex.

you will probably do all the work and end up with one of those turbo lumps that throws a leg out, as said not worth the hassle.sorry.pewgot mmm
