Cost of new clutch fitted? Mondeo Diesel - PatriciaX
I've got an R reg 1.8 Diesel and the clutch is slipping (revving away, so to speak).

Im presuming I'll have to get a brand new one fitted - does anyone know a general ball park figure for getting this done?

Before going to the expense of a new clutch, make sure that the clutch cable or hydraulics (not sure which the Mondeo has) is adjusted properly.

Expect to pay about £750 as I believe it is an engine out job. The only reason I know this is because friend has a Mondeo that had a clutch fitted.

It is far more common place for manufacturers to design cars that are easy to build, but difficult to service.

No idea of the cost, but my neighbour who runs his own small garage won't touch a Mondeo clutch because of the amount of items that have to be removed just to get at it. At least a days work I believe.
