Mercedes Vito Van Pre Glow Starting Prob - Neal
I have just purchased a 1998 mercedes vito van but do seem to be having some form of starting problem when i turn the ignition key the pre warm light does not come on eventually when you get the van started the pre glow comes on and stays on for about 45 seconds any help gratefully recieved please do not tell me ecu unit because i will start to get worried then thanks neal

Usually on these Mercs ,if the glowplug warning light comes on after starting it indicates a fault with 1 or more of the glow plugs.(hence the poor cold start)

Does this mean it is just a case of changing the glow plugs then . thanks neal

Changed the glow plugs today and now pre warm light comes on straight away and then goes off and all seems great many many thanks neal
