Zetec Escort 1600 S-reg - greaser pv

Could anyone tell me if the crankshaft on this engine ( L1H ) has a woodruff key locator for the pulley . I have been asked to do the timing belt and am aware that some of the ford zetec engines use taper fit . If not , does anyone know of a helpful Ford site . Thanks in advance .

yes this engine does have a woodruff key which will be at 12 o clock when the engine is at TDC. There are two timing marks on the C/s pulley when the lower one of the two is lined up with what looks like a casting mark on the sump then the engine is at approximately TDC.Hope this is of help.
