All of a sudden I feel very weary and glad that I am in the second half of my life. Everyone's Darling (not) comes up with another bright idea; I wonder if is he one of the ministers who doesn't/can't drive.
I thought there was a relationship between the distance driven and the tax collected via fuel purchasing, which also taxes heavier consumption equitably (OK if that's you idea of fairness). With that disincentive scheme already in place, why would we need a separate and different disincentive scheme? Now, I wonder if there might be an ulterior motive here. No, surely not . . .
