Vauxhall Corsa SPS Update - jim_mapps
Hi.

A Friend of mine has taken her Corsa (Old Shape) to Vauxhall this morning because it's sluggish and they've told her it needs an SPS Update among other things. Can anyone shed some light on what this is? as they want a small fortune for it and nobody knows what it is.

It means they will update the firmware of one or more electronic control units.
It is very poor for a dealer to use such in-house slang to a customer! I imagine they are trying to confuse the customer with terms they won't understand. They should explain that they plan to update the programming of the computer that controls the engine or something like this.

Is a software update is required, then this should not be too expensive. What other work is being done, and how much are they asking for? A year and engine size, (Including code if possible.) would also be usefull.
