Central locking 1995 Fiesta Sapphire - loopyjen
Hi,

I've recently noticed a small delay on the central locking of the above car. When I use the key fob to lock the doors and activate the alarm the drivers side door does not lock all the way and I have to pull the handle to make it do so. I noticed that it did this previous to the alternator going and then it stopped and has started to do it again this weekend. I'm not sure why its doing it as it doesn't do it all the time just on the odd occasion.

Any advice would be greatly recieved :)

I would think the door latch & mechanism needs lubricating.Excess friction on the linkage will cause the locking motor to not "throw " adequately.Really need to remove door panel to reach mechanism.Also a worn latch will give the same problems.( I've replaced a few on Fiestas for this fault)
