The fuel gauge on my 1995 1.2 Corsa swings about when cornering. Is this likely to be the sender in the tank of the gauge damping?

I think you will find that this is a fairly common characteristic of these early model Corsas.Later models have a modified fuel tank to reduce the amount of fuel movement when cornering.(extra baffles)
