Mondeo T-Diesel...New MOT - chas

Hi all

Just a quick note of thanks to all who answered my query a week ago re getting a diesel through an MOT test ( emissions )

I changed the air-filter , added RedX diesel additive , went for a 10 mile motorway spin ( using 4th gear instead of 5th) prior to the MOT and passed the emission test this time with flying colours.

Excellent.

A new MOT certificate is better than sex!!!! ( I`ve been married TOO long !! )

Yep I feel as if I am being mugged when I take my brummers for MOT's.

As for the married too long thing: Rab C Nesbitt put it very well when he said, " After a while, your wife becomes your best friend, and it's no appropriate to **** your best friend"

(Please read that in a Glaswegian accent)

Hi Chas - Congratulations on the MOT. I find the Redex treatment does wonders for the emission test. And I have four diesels to get through each year. I often wonder what sort of 'ride' the poor blokes get taken on who leave their cars with the garage to sort out before getting a new certificate.
