Peugeot 306 HDI Digital Mileage Gauge - Andi the HDI Driver
Hi All,

I am the owner of a 306 HDI Y Reg and recently the digital mileage gauge went dark on me. That is to say that normally when you turn the ignition on the display iluminates itself, this has stopped working. If I look really hard the figures are still there and the milometer seems to be working correctly. Does anyone know a solution to repairing this. Is it a fuse, or could it be as simple as a bulb that requires replacing. I am reluctant to start working on the milometer as it contains the cars mileage.

More than likely the bulb behind the display has gone. Recently happened to a colleagues Pug 306 as well. I keep meaning to take a look at it for him.

It will be the bulb. Within the warranty period the dealer wanted to charge me £30 to put a new bulb in. Did it myself for 70p. Regards.
