pug 306 xld clutch adjustment - Chuffer Dandridge
Am having difficulty with gear change on our 306 diesel.

I think the clutch may not be properly adjusted, as it bites extremely early (a new clutch had been fitted just before we got the car last month), the pedal is hardly lifted from the floor when the clutch engages.

Haynes manual says the clutch cable is self adjusting, but doesn't say how that works. If so how does it self adjust itself back when a new clutch is installed?

Any help would be appreciated.
