HI,
My S60 R has just been returned from an accident repair shop. I locked it, only to find that the indicators did not flash. the LED in the dash was lighting up as normal. HOwever, when i unlock the car, the indicators flash as normal. STRANGE???!
does anyone have any ideas? >>>>>>>>>>> Dan

No idea particular to your car, however I seem to remember that with the earlier Scenic, if the lights didn't flash on locking it was highlighting a problem. Handbook help at all?

Handbook is useless, it only tells you how to unlock and lock the car. I suspect that it is the bonnet sensor.

Yes, quite likely.
The lights only flash on locking if everything is fully closed.
If not, no flash.
A bonnet that is not quite fully closed is the normal culprit on this car.

Thanks for all the help! I rang Volvo earlier, they told me to lift the bonnet and slam it shut again. Very common for S60/80.

The Scenic makes a buzzing noise once you set the alarm if everything is not ok. Anytime it does this, I push the bonnet down and it stops!!
Co-incidence or what?
