Hi,
My 306 HDI has developed a buzzing noise behind the dashboard speedo side after the car has been driven quite hard it sounds electrical but as usual my local pug dealer just shrugs his shoulders!! The noise disappears for a while once the ignition has been turned off & back on again. I don\'t think it\'s serious but irritating! Any help would be great

2 and they both irritate but the passat is the better 1 !

DL, are you thinking it's the motor that operates the recirculator flap?

Possible, but I was leaning towards the in-car aspirator - there is a little sniffer fan in the dash that senses the in car temperature. These can get noisy intermittantly.

Mine developed a noise like this and after 3 visits to the dealer they decided that a damper on a fuel line was required. This made no difference so the car was returned. It was found that the damper had been fitted upside down and once fitted correctly there was no more buzzing. Cheers.
