rover 416 auto bonnet release cable. - awasawas
Hope you can help me with this!
Year 1993, L
Any ideas on how to replace the bonnet release cable please?
My local garage wants £45.00 plus vat plus cost of cable.

I can understand the cost of doing the job. The release cable pull is held on by two bolts under the dash. cable travel is through wheel arch. which means O/S/F road wheel has to come off. Then removal of plastic linning under arch. Bonnet end remove the catch.IIRC four bolts hold it in poss. This makes it easy to remove old cable end/replace. just a case of outer cable being pushed in to clips to secure. bear in mind use an axle stand while wheel off. Hope that helps
