Does anybody have any idea at broadly what price Mondeos are going for at auctions at the moment (especially Blackbushe or Paddock Wood).
I'm going to be looking for a 2 litre Mondeo LX or Zetec, petrol or diesel, with average mileage and about six months/1 year old.
Also, apart from Blackbushe and Paddock Wood are there any other good auction sites for nearly new cars in the South East?

Check availability in AuctionView link to our left, nearly 200 showing 02 - 04, all models/specs.
Avarage price 53 plate 18LX 5 door 8k £8321, 13k £8290, 15k £8250.
Zetec 130ps 03 plate 22k £8567
You might think on a trip to Enfield, for the Ford Finance sections, they hold. You'll get an odd mix of the range there. Last week had 04 Ka, through to R plate Fiesta, with a sprinkling of everything else in between!

Try subscribing to Auctionview. It costs about £10 for 50 lists (searches).
I'm not a dealer, but I find that Derby and Brighouse have good selections of late year ex-fleet cars. Thats if youre willing to travel that far.

Perhaps 'trader' account Auctionview tells your the prices. Merely subscribing to Auctionview serches only tells you cars ready for auction - not how much previous auction cars fetched.

I gather Blackbushe has a nearly new day on Wednesday. I will certainly give that a try. Has anybody been to the auction site at Wimbledon (I think it is Mannheim?). Do they have plenty of nearly new cars, and if so which would be the best day.

Wimbledon is a smallish site, not for late plate stock, but they do have some of the leasing companies 'branded' sales. So the cars will be around 3 years old.
Best ring around the centres, close to you & find out what their sales prgramme is.

Makes absolutely no difference. Internet Explorer fills in the http automatically if it's a hyperlink.
Try it and see for yourself.

Apologies - the main computer mag's website I'm normally on does the links automatically when you post as a blue hyperlink (Click Here) from just www.honest.john. etc.
As I pointed out earlier, IE normally fills in the http bit without prompting in such cases.
It can also, apart from this and one or two other websites, be achieved by right clicking and selecting Open In New Window.

Saw a v nice 2001 Y plate State blue 2.0 5dr Zetec with approx 44k and history at Colchester today. Glass's had it at best part of 5 and 3/4 but sold for £5025. Private man stopped at £5k. Silly billy.

Watch out for Blackbushe buyers fee. Its now on an increasing scale. I'd like to know what, say, a 1.8lx on an 06 plate goes for with between 10,000 to 16,000 on the clock, because some of the big car supermarkeyts up North are currently selling for under £8000 (Motorpoint etc).

My last lease car went straight to the auction at Wimbledon. I know because the driver asked me where it was!
