synthetic oil - chris webster
My Sunny1.4(1989) currently enjoys a Castrol fully synthetic oil surging thro' it's veins ,which was used at oil change(for the first time,) solely because I had a spare can designated for a recently departed Toyota.
What sort of mileage interval should I work to, to the next change. Is it reasonable to assume that the added cost of such oil and much proclaimed superiority should see something well in excess of the oft quoted 5k. interval for the standard lubricant. (for this age of car particularly I guess.)
The car does not suffer the 'school run syndrome 'and usually reaches working temps. with considerable motorway work of late. It has always been regularly serviced and is coming up to a genuine 60k on the clock. Gem of an engine!
