Has anyone here successfully added the power steering system from another Golf onto an 8v Mk2 GTi ? I love my car to bits but boy the steering is heavy - my brother thinks it's probably not too bad a job to do, if we can get the parts. Anyone tried it? Any help appreciated.

Possible, but a big job. You need a new steering rack to start with, plus all the pumps belts brakets etc.
