Ford Fiesta ignition - Gily
I have replaced the ignition lock in my 10 year old fiesta. Problem is refitting. The lock should be slid into the barrel at position 1. My problem is that the position of the switch in the barrel is at 3 so the lock will not fit correctly. I have tried to turn the switch to position 1 by using a screw driver but the switch is locked in position 3. What can I do?

If the switch wont move would suggest a new one.IIRC they should freely move with a driver and as the lock wont engage into the switch would say switch has locked up.try taking the switch off then install lock should find it will drop in.I think they are only held on by one screw/torx bolt.could be wrong

forgot to mention disconnect multiplug from ignition switch before trying to insert lock or altering switch possition.
