can i get a car tax refund??????? - pienmash
old car is now brown bread(dead),its got 10 mth tax to run out,can i get a refund or swop it to get a new tax disc,thank you ,i remember years back i got a refund after 3 mths of telling them(but sumone said the rules have changed now)

And you MUST do a SORN declaration. The link kindly supplied above by Imagos says you "MAY" declare sorn. In fact you MUST do so.

You can pick up a form from major post offices. You get a refund for each full month left to run. e.g. if you post it today you get a refund from July onwards. I did this for a car which was written off. The refund came through in a couple of weeks.
