Clio Airbag light - al mcdonald
Hi the airbag light on my 2000, Clio 1.2 stays on for long periods of time is this a common fault? Can it be recified? And how much?
It functions normally most of the time, but every now and then it stays on for a few days.

It will be caused by the seat belt pre-tensioners. Either a new seat belt switch (about 50 quid fitted) or the plugs to the same under the seat. Take apart, clean with wd40 and remake the plugs in the seat belt wiring harness under the seat. Make sure the ignition is off. If that fails its the switch.
