popping sound from speakers - Chuffer Dandridge
I'm getting a loud popping sounds from my speakers when I turn the radio off, or if I turn the ignition off with the radio still on.

Any ideas?

Car is a Peugeot 106 1.4 diesel. Radio is a Goodmans radio cassette.

Had thought the popping sound was the engine, so a relief to discover it was the radio.

Change the radio. Its a design fault (read cheap) Poor isolation of the output stage.
