mk2 golf gti 8v COLD - sp30
brrrrrrrrr im freezing my heater wont work!!!!!! car is reching norm temp but only cold air from fan!¬!!! still ,destroying xr2s is enough to warm me up!!!!!

Been discussed before on here. My Dads VW Jetta had the same problem and was fixed very easily by replacing the heater bypass valve (£39)

Do a search in the forum search on the right for "Jetta heater" and you'll find the thread. Sorry don't know how to post the link directly.

ps exactly same problem occurred on my sister's Golf and we replaced the valve with a scrapyard part (only charged £2!) and again now all works perfectly.

thanks, ill try that. someone suggested removing valve and capping bypass, i tryed that and getting luke warm air. cheers though......
