Have you heard of a permanent fix for the engine mount problem that plagues numerous Clio DCI owners. There is a continuous knocking sound at low speeds and it spoils an otherwise wonderful little car. The dealers know of the mount problem but have so far been unable to rectify it and its driving us to consider a replacement..........

hi i know that when i owned an early cilo 16v the rear engine mounts were poor and gave same symptoms.
is it possible to use the uprated mount from a cilo sport 172?
i know the engines are different but maybe there are parts on the mount which could be used.
another one to try is the new micra as it uses the cilo subframe and they also use this engine?

thanks thats useful esp. in regard to the possibility of using uprated mounts from other models - worth looking into as we love the car in general.........
