Tuning Box & Subsequent Reliability - Dude - {P}
Have been toying with the idea of fitting a tuning box for some time, but still have reservations about the long term impact on reliability, (particularly fuel pumps).

I know several members in th B.R. have fitted these devices, and wondered if anybody has put a substantial mileage (40k plus) without any undue problems.

I have been reading on another forum where somebody is needing a replacement gearbox & final drive bearings due to the extra loading after only 30k !!!!!

I fitted a "VAN AAKEN ORIGINAL TUNING BOX"to my A4 1.9TDI about 3.5 years ago.Its given superb service since & been very reliable over 55k miles.With any upgrade such as this you MUST inform your insurance though.
