Citroen C5 rear axle problems

Citroen C5 rear axle problems - citmad
My 2 year old C5 1.9 HDI Hatchback has uneven wear on the rear tyres. they are ok on the outside but down to 1.6 mm on the inside. My franchise garage says that this is caused by deformed rear axle(s) and is a known problem, they have asked Citroen to approve replacement of the axle(s) under warranty and also for Citroen to cover the cost of 2 new tyres.
Does anyone know about this problem ?

Highly unlikely that it actually has an axle... maybe your last post was moved to technical, where it is more on topic and likely to get more answers.
