Audi A6 Turbo Life - mikeyb

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience or view on how long the Turbo lasts on the 1.8T Audi A6.

I am looking at a few, but not sure if I should be considering the price of Turbo replacement in purchase price.

Can last the life of the car if properly looked after - depends on how the engine has been run etc. But it is not an item that has a known maximum life after which it should be changed. Obviously it is also subject to manufacturing errors, tolerances etc that can contribute to shortening its life, but certainly 100,000 miles should be easily attainable.

Check the service history........look for regular service intervals to the manufacturers schedule. Other than that, as above, they are very reliable.
