Hello

Hope someone can help, I have a 2000 VW Golf TDI and the lights behind the heater controls have stopped working today, i have tried banging it (Technical I Know!) but they wont come on, does anyone know if there is 1 LED/ bulb or whether this is an electrical fault, if there were a few bulbs it would be unlikely they all went together?

There is only 1 bulb behind heater controls,it is a 286 capless.To replace it is fairly easy.Carefully pull off 3 rotary knobs(may need to use broad pliers & protective cloth).remove/prise off black fascia surround to reveal clear plastic light diffuser,bulb sits in middle behind this.

When you say prise off if this panel clipped in or is it easy to prise off.. Regards Peter
