Citroen Saxo. Tracking - kev the rev
I\'m told by the company that fitted 2 new front tyres on a citroen saxo that it was not possible to check & adjust the tracking as the necessary tools are not available. The only method is to visit a citroen dealer and have the tracking checked and adjusted, whilst paying main dealer rates!

Contacted another tyre company and told a similiar story.

So you clever chaps, whats the truth? whats different about little saxos? what special tools are required just to get the wheels straight ?

I had my Peugeot 106D tracked at Micheldever tyres without any problems. I believe the Saxo is mechanically identical.

It was miles out, and they made a good job of it; 30k miles later the front tyre wear is even.

Nah, they're having you on.

I got my 98 Saxo tracked at a couple of places, neither of which were main dealer. They didn't use specialist tools, other than the ones required to do the job.

Then again, they could just have been pretending!
