I was just wondering what real life mpg people get from the new model Toyota Corolla with the 1.6 petrol engine?

I have about 3000kms on my 1.6 T3 3door now and I get an average of 43 mpg (according to the computer ). This is on a good mix of the commuting crawl and motorways . I'm very pleased with it , far superior to its predecessor , a 1.6 old-shape (98) Corolla . DeeJay .

Thanks DeeJay you do the same type of motoring that I do. I just wonder about the accuracy of the fuel computer though. Have you tried cross-checking it against the traditional method of brimming the tank?
