VW Passat seats lurching

VW Passat seats lurching - Cambridge
95 Passat CL estate.
The seat lurches slightly when cornering. Just a small sideways movement.
Anyone got any experience on what this is, and how to cure it?

From memory the seat rides in the seat rails in nylon inserts, one or more of these may have split or be missing. I had this on a Golf as well. Regards Peter
