If you have a French registered car the "pastilles" as they have been termed over here, take a minimum of ten days to arrive from the date of your online application.
You have to supply the details on the French registration certificate including the reg number, the code or "formula" number of the certificate and the date of the certificate - there are 3 different versions of the certificate and the pastille will be posted only to the address of the registered owner on the certificate.
How all that is going to work for a brit applying for one is anyone's guess - perhaps the French government is going to hook up with the DVLA's computer - if they haven't already for speeding fines.
Or maybe the next French government will withdraw them and try something else even more complicated after the election in April/May this year.
