MY14 BMW320i GT - has a Cracked fog light lens - Redcar01

MY14 BMW320i GT has a Cracked fog light lens , light still works but will it pass MOT or do i have to change it.

Does anybody know

Should be ok but you can never tell what the MOT tester will decide - they seem varied in my experience.

Probably will note its presence but "no affecting the correct functionality" or the like.

If it is a front fog light,then it is not part of an mot test.Rear fog lamp is a testable item.

Yes, it will pass an MOT. Fog lights are not testable items.

Why wouldn't you fit a new light or lens if poss to such a valuable almost new car, cracked lights go manky inside in short order and look horrid.

A component close to the road which was sealed now isn't. In a few months it will be exposed to road salt.

Salty water getting into electrical components is never beneficial for a car, so bite the bullet and have it repaired.

Bought a new fog light to sort out the problem having it fitted next week
