I'm getting a grinding noise when setting off just in first gear I'm thinking it the clutch but if I keep my handbrake on and try and pull away it doesn't happen only when moving off and only if I set off quickly if I set of gently it doesn't happen ?? Any suggestions please ?

Usually rust on rear disks or rear drums. Does it happen after rain or car washing?

No it seems to be coming from the front
