Vauxhall Vivaro - insurance renewal - mob1

My son is 21 and Aviva have quoted his renewal at £2200 he has 1 year NCB it has only gone down £179.The van is only worth £2500 and his excess is £850!

Any ideas? Also have looked on google and found excess insurance for vans, is it worth taking out?

Has he tried the price comparison sites for insurance quotes ?

'Customer loyalty' means 'customer stupidity' to most insurance companies. Stick with them and they'll rip you off.

Young or old, good or bad driving history - you have to search round EVERY year.

In reality, a 21-year old with 1 years NCD is still fairly heavily loaded - so any saving from shopping around will be substantial - but don't be surprised at some ludicrously high quotes as well.

got it down to £1200, so a good result I think, also bought an excess insurance policy for him, it seems a smart move!
