Peugeot 406 2.0. Hdi - Peugeot 406 Hdi Immobiliser fault - Peter.N.

I appear to have an immobiliser fault on this car. It was perfectly OK when I parked it up but stood for a couple of weeks and then wouldn't start. The inside was very damp and the immobiliser light was on, I left the doors open on a bright and breezy day, next time I tried it no light and it started.

It has since been parked up again and got damp, immobiliser light on and won't start, tried drying it out but no go this time. It was a bit wet under the drivers side carpet but the connectors all seem in good condition and I have dried it out. The key is being detected because if you leave it in and open the door it bleeps and stops when you take it out.

I have thorougly dried the car out now and done about 30 BSI resets - still won't go, light still on.
