Hello there to all

I have recently bought a ford focus 1.8 tdci drives brilliantly, however every once in a while the glow plug light or EML comes on and flashes i will note there is NO LOSS OF POWER, i have tried a second hand throttle pedal, however problem persists.

There are no fault codes present and when you switch car on and off it disappears, anyone have any tips or suggestions please?

What scanner /fault code reader are you using?

I believe its similar To an ethos machine

The reason I asked what scanner was used,is that a diesel focus of this age is not Eobd compatible,so a cheap scanner will not give any accurate info.

Ok thanks for the tip, so it would need to be read at a ford place for example to get that accurate information

No need to take it to a Ford dealer,just to a specialist with suitable equipment to make an accurate analysis of what the fault codes relate to.As I have always said,"anyone can read a book,but do they understand the story"
