Audi Coupe - Audi Coupe 2.3E.... advice - logger

Seen a high mileage(235k) H reg 2.3E coupe for sale..all essentials(brakes, discs, cambelt, water pump etc replace in last 20k miles

Its only going for £800 ono

I'll only be doing around 3k miles a year so..any advice good or bad ?

It is a quarter of a century old. It has done the equivalent of going around the world nine times.

Assume it is going to fail (fatally and expensively) any day. At which point it will be scrap.

If you are willing to accept that, then go for it. If not, then don't.

I am not so sure.These were rock solid build quality,beter than the current crop of Audi coupes.Mechanical parts should not be a problem to source,other parts may be more difficult.Is it worth that money?who knows?Do you feel lucky?

So why would it be being sold NOW?

As others have said, it's tempting at this sort of price. If it's a weekend plaything which you can afford to write off if it fails catastrophically, go ahead and have fun!

If it's for daily transport, steer clear.
